Group Bookings & Charter Trains
Puffing Billy is the ideal outing for your group. Discounts are available on our Excursion Trains for pre-booked group travel (20 or more paying passengers on a return journey only) throughout the year, except on Sundays, Public Holidays and School Holidays.
You do not need to book if your group is under 20 however, it is a good idea to arrive at least 30 minutes prior to the excursion train departure to give you time to purchase your tickets and board the train.
Excursion Trains and Dining Trains are available for Charter Bookings (that is, you can book a train for your exclusive use). We can take up to 250 people on an Excursion Train and up to 80 people on a Dining Train. To obtain further information about chartering a train, please contact our Customer Service Centre.
